But having Robert Pattinson as the leader of spark creation is a bit like watching a ‘failed soldier, barely literate’ man trying to make potions when he didn’t have chemistry and physics in his options. The London-born 25-year-old was well cast in the Twilight series because his teeth are fangy and he’s like the colour black – skilled at soaking things up without giving much back in return. Alas! Although Pattinson is a good-looking lad and the perfect choice for a bit of revolving-door trouser dropping, there’s still no sign of any Oscar-worthy genes maturing between his ears. And, when he bares his shoulders, he is less a honey-glazed beefcake, but more a beef tomato salad – only without any of the authentic French dressing this film so badly needs.
Unfortunately, while the Pattinson glowers, twitches of lip, and arches of eyebrow are deployed to rascally effect, it’s hard to see why sophisticated women would fall head over heels for a man of such obvious shallowness and tiresome petulance. Bel Ami won’t deter many Twi-hards, but any more behaviour like this and Team Edward will be calling for a new manager.
The main problem is that Pattinson is too wooden and blank-faced to really convince as a dyed-in-the-wool charmer and it doesn’t help that he has zero chemistry with any of his three co-stars; in fact, the only moment he comes alive is in his playful scenes with Clotilde’s little sister. In addition, this has a knock-on effect on the script, because you’re never sure if George is scheming and therefore fully aware of what he’s doing or if he’s just a dumb prettyboy being manipulated by everyone around him.
All of them are supposed to fall for the caddish sexual allure of Duroy, but although Pattinson does a lot of leering, his stilted presence feels like an old-time performance next to the more natural Ricci. At one point, when he glimpses all three women together for the first time, he pulls a face that is supposed to suggest a fox in a chicken coop, but is closer to Jim Dale accidentally locked in the nurses’ quarters in Carry On Again Doctor.
The performances are incredibly hammy; the worst culprit being Pattinson whose turn is not only weak, but incredibly irritating to boot.

I’m not in the know but I do know filming of Snow White & The Huntsman has been finished for a while now.
I’ve heard they decided to cut Stewart out of the film and are instead going to rename it THE EVIL QUEEN AND THE HUNTSMAN. Focus groups kept on confusing her with one of the wild, woodland creatures in the forest rather than the fairy princess. But they may recut her scenes and turn it into a remake of Nell instead, where her flailing and grunting will work better. I heard Jodie is thrilled.

I’m acutely aware that people in all sides of this phenomenon speak badly about Rob Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, their family, friends, other fans, etc. I guess my issue is mostly as a mom of a 13 year old girl, I worry about the message being sent to children when bullying or making fun of people for entertainment is made to seem okay. It’s being done because there is anonymity. Would people speak this way face to face? I would venture to say no. What happened to humanity? Would children approve of this behavior from their parents? Would they be reprimanded for speaking about someone in such a hateful way? I know my kids would. Lets be positive role models for our kids. Positivity always feels better than negativity.
I don’t think these 2 chain smoking, boozed up, grungy looking actors are very good role models either. And if they hate their fame and fortune so much than by all means donate all the money to charity and go get a 9-5 job like the rest of us and struggle to make ends meet. Being criticized for their actions is a very small price for the life of luxury they are living IMO. Celebrities that don’t have their heads up their ass, acknowledge this.

Is your daughter somehow involved in any of these groups? If she’s upset what’s said here then you should talk to her and explain that people who she never met and who have different opinions on her hobby(I mean obsessing over fake couple) won’t jump through the computer and force their opinion or as some love to call it HATE and force it on her.
We make fun of two people who want our money for their lack of talent all the while pretending to be some artists who deserve respect as if they’re the Pope. Since playing with their status is the main marketing strategy of their studio and own publicity teams, we have right to expose their manipulations. Unless you are blind and mentally challenged it’s easy to see what’s been here played.

Actually, I WOULD say everything I’ve said to their faces, and I know for a fact that wouldn’t like it because they are so used to people telling them how great they are and saying “yes” to their evey demand.
And FYI, it’s called being honest. Something these 2 hypocrits know nothing about.
They are surrounded by Yes-sayers and wouldn’t know how to deal with people who don’t kiss their ass 24/7.
Yep, and there in lies the problem. In HW there are too many people who use celebs for their own financial gain, and will always tell these celebs exactly want they want to hear.

Here is a teachable moment….
Celebs and their corporate sponsors exploit our children and, unfortunately, even some adults to get their hard earned cash.
So don’t restaurants, cosmetic companies, etc.
You should teach your daughter that celebs are not people to be admired. Most abuse drugs and alcohol to stay way too thin for what is considered healthy. They are people who have decided to exploit their bodies and images for money. They have been created by corporations to sell merchandise. It is all an image. Notbreal. That is the lesson. If she follows them, let it be for fun only. Young girls are the prey of these corporate entities.
Also, teach her the pitfalls of being a public figure. This is not limited to celebs but also politicians and world leaders and people that you and your family see every day as your community leaders.
Give her the internal strength to love herself and you can do that by explaining things, not by denying or pretending that they don’t exist. She needs to understand the conversation and be able to decide whether or not she wants to participate in it and understand that there are people and companies who will try to entice her to engage in behaviors or buy products using very manipulative techniques. Knowledge and information are powerful – that’ why so many fight for it and then hide it.
Try to read my post and think about it..
My daughter does not have issues with the Internet or cyberbullying. I didnt even remotely imply that. She knows nothing about any of this drama. My point was simply that we as parents should be examples of how we treat people, simple as that. This does not affect me in any way.. Peace

the banter on the internet for all things is actually helpful many more times than hurtful and our children are growing up with it so they must learn how to deal with it.. I have chosen to talk to my kids about all kinds of behavior on the internet, good, bad, indifferent, informational, etc. I believe that is what will help our children in the future.
Also, you are lucky your daughter hasn’t been victim to bullying..

You obviously don’t know the meaning of it. If anyone gets stressed because their favourite celebrity is not like and ciritsized then they have bigger issues then dissagreement over liking or not liking an actor.
If you want to see real bullying read about all the gay teens who are run into suicide by their peers because of their orientation. But here we are defending our views on celebrities who have teams of people treating them like royalty and fulfilling all their wishes.

guess the verbal ‘abuse’ of these 2 non-existent people (bella and edward) causes her some duress, yet anyone here in the u.s. can barely breath without hearing our political leaders or outspoken radio creeps blasting each other and/or young women or gays or.. the list goes on and on.. with the most hateful of all speech..
