Ross just filed her paperwork in L.A. County Superior Court. She’s asking for joint custody of their 2 children — ages 5 and 7.
Ross, who is repped by disso-queen Laura Wasser, is also asking for spousal support, as well as attorney’s fees.
Sanders, who is repped by Lance Spiegel, also filed his response to the divorce petition. He’s also requesting joint custody. He is not asking for spousal support. As for attorney’s fees, he wants to share the costs with Liberty.
Sanders famously cheated on Ross … with Kristen Stewart, whom he was directing in “Snow White and the Huntsman.”
As we first reported … Ross and Sanders went to a shrink a number of times trying to work out their problems, but it was not meant to be.
Now the E! article makes sense but who has egg on their face now? TAKE THAT E!
Kristen will forever be known as the other woman who split up this family. Are we to believe Rob will just get over it and all will be well? Nope

When I read Lyberty was filing for divorce, first thing coming to my mind was Rupert sighting in Los Feliz some days ago.. now it’s making sense. Whether we’ll see Miss momentary indiscretion in Kangaroos land or hanging out with Rupert, no idea, but I wouldn’t be surprised either way, she has dragged out fakery for such a long time.. and Rob has been such a disappointment too.

Nothing new I heard all of that, and I think male actors use the casting couch more often than actresses since most directors and producers are gay or bi themselves.
Also years ago I read somewhere that most relationships in HW are set up and not just as bearding arrangments but also to boost the image of the couple, it’s just too much of a coinincidence that those co-stars or celebs witht he same agent always end up being “crazy in love” and being everything the public wants them to be. Prime example Brad and Jennifer back then and now him and Angelina.

Now, I don’t think this is going to be “epic” in the sense that a lot of dirt is going to come out about Rupert or about his affair with Kristen, although I have always believed that both Rupert and Kristen were lying their asses off about just how intense and sexual their affair was. That “MKT DOGMA” is not always accurate or suitable for all occasions. This one, with a divorce and 2 kids left without a father, is definitely one that Robert should take extra care of.
He already has his profits’ % contract signed. The DVD will sell itself alone. So, he’ll still make money out of this without the need for him to go along with the PR circus again. I doubt there’s a specific clause in that contract stating that he always have to pretend to be KS’s lover when MKT events approach.

Agree to disagree I guess ladies when it comes to Rob but also when it comes to Kristen she is just a lot more honest than Rob is in my opinion. Kristen is trash and is the bad cop while Rob pretends to be so great and plays the good cop role imo. I think he has an ego and I base that off what I see from interviews and more I think mocking Twilight the machine that has catapulted into the very blessed lifestyle he has is unprofessional and doesn’t make him look good. He never seems to appreciate what he has and I’m not sure if that’s how Rob is or if that was Kristens influence. However I don’t buy the nice guy routine from him, he’s is just as bad as Kristen in personality and acting. I doubt Rob will ever get an Oscar he’s just too lazy to care imo. He went sky-diving and go-kart racing while being there a few months ago. That’s an active way of getting to know a place and showing an interest.

All I know is he has met many people over there and I haven’t seen any negative reaction. This says more to me than gossips and speculations, as those who actually talked to him know more about their conversation with him than any of us. And people open their mouhs if they don’t like something, as you could see many times with people’s negative encounter with Kristen or many other celebs.
Diana, what can you expect from him if every second US movie is full of geographical mistakes? I can’t even count how many times the characters in recent movies mentioned Czechoslovakia, a state that stopped existing 20 years ago. How disrespectful it is to Slovaks as Marian Gaborik who help US teams to win? Despite the fact so many movies and videos were shot in Prague, the capital of Czech republic, it’s still Czechoslovakia for most of the movie makers. Do you know how disrespectful it was when Larry King introduced his guest, our prime minister, as the president of Bulgaria? Or when US president greeted the crowds “hello Slovenia” on his official visit in Slovakia? Or when CNN showed a map where Austria, Slovakia and the Czech republic were presented as one country with Budapest as the capital? This is the true ignorance in my eye. He’s a very average actor. There is nothing ground breaking about him. He chooses very cheesy scripts or goes for utter pseudo intellectuals like Cosmopolis. I really didn’t like that film, yes he did a decent job, but I can’t take him seriously. He was so convinced that the movie was amazing, just because Cronenberg did it. It actually as pretty boring and pointless. Remember Me, I liked and WFE was harmless fun. But I have yet to see him act “well” i.e as good as he claims himself to be. An that guy seriously doesn’t seem like someone you could crack up an intelligent conversation with. He drinks way too much and the hypocrisy of the Robsessed! I am a HP fan, and some Rob’/Robsten fan called out Daniel Radcliffe on his drinking ways. Well, I’m sure Rob drinks more than Dan, he’s in every pub. Very unhealthy lifestyle. Probably that’s why he’s with Stewart, she allows him to go to pubs while no other girlfriend would encourage binge-drinking to this extent. But hey, they botha re into vices.
Contrary to prevailing opiniuon here, I think Rob is, at least, an adequate actor and he actually did a pretty good job in Cosmopolis. That is not the same as saying the film itself was good, since it was clearly not to everbody’s taste, but let’s note that it made a lot of fairly serious “Best of 2012” critics’ lists even if it was not nominated for any US awards. Credit where credit is due. I think Cronenberg showed that a good director can get a very decent performance out of Rob, at least when he’s cast in the right role. At the moment I think Rob still has a lot to prove and I would say that the big question mark is over the breadth of his range which he has not so far demonstrated. If he can do that, say with some of the Indies he (theoretically) has lined up, I think there’s definitely hope for him
As to his character, I think he probably is still immature, lacking in self-esteem, a bit lazy and too easily addicted (I find the amount he smokes the most disturbing feature personally) but, let’s be fair, he is basically a decent guy, he is not stupid (in the intellectual sense anyway) and I suspect he’d be much easier to get on with than a lot of HW actors. Two of his female costars, Ashley Greene and Sarah Gadon, have said (as a compliment) that he has no ego, which is damned unusual for a celebrity of his level of fame, to say the least! Obviously when assessing somebody that you don’t know you have to rely on anedcote and other indirect info, but I’ve never heard anyone who has met him say anything but nice things about him as a person. What he is doing with KS, I have no idea. Maybe they are just friends and he is willing to take a hit to help rescue her butt, out of some sense of loyalty? If they are a real couple why is she not with him given that she isn’t working just now? If they are pretending to be a couple for PR, why the hell aren’t they making more effort? And if it is PR what is he getting out of it except a whole shedload of woe. Perhaps he’s gay and she’s his beard as some suggest, or perhaps he’s using her to protect his real GF from the media, in return for her using him to rehabilitate her image. But, in either case, why aren’t they trying harder to convince? Is it a double bluff? I am baffled honestly!

Yes, I see that argument, but is this tabloid feeding frenzy really a win for HIM? As I said, he’s actually not a crap actor, despite the shade that gets thrown his way over Twilight, but he hasn’t yet shown himself to be a seriously good one and if he wants to make any kind of name it is not Twihard shippers whose interest he needs to hold. Even if he doesn’t get that, you’d think his advisers would? He has enough $$$$ to last anybody a lifetime and what real financial difference is this circus making anyway at this point? Well, I totally agree with your last point. The whole of HW is PR driven and an actor’s image and $$$$ making power is always more important than his/her acting ability. How many top stars just milk playing one basic character through their whole careers or rely on their looks rather than talent? Serious acting ability is a plus but by no means essential and it will be his PR that really counts if he wants to do box office stuff for big bucks.
However if I’m understanding you correctly, you’re suggesting that Rob thinks his main PR selling point is Robsten and, while I can see that might haul in Twihards it seems like a seriously dead horse at this point as far as furthering his image is concerned. It’ll continue to create media frenzy but where’s the $$$ yield? The shippers are mostly KS fans, whereas the majority of his own natural fans barely tolerate KS, at best. As we know, many are so alienated by his (supposed) relationship with her that they refuse to follow him. So, I still don’t see how, as a PR exercise, Robsten is doing him anything but harm and the toxic, tabloid-fuelled circus is just hindering every effort he makes to rise out of the Twilight swamp. What I’m saying is, if he wants more $$$$$ as much as you think, he should have changed tack already.
And even if he can’t see that, which I find hard to believe, surely his team can? After all, if the $$$$ stop coming in, they are the ones who will suffer. He is worth tens of millions and could easily sustain a comfortably rich man’s lifestyle for the rest of his days. I think they were rehearsing a scene. It looks like the director asked her to enact a scene and she did. But the part where she’s looking into her pants, that looks weird weird. I have no idea what she was doing there, unless it was another scene which was to be enacted. If that’s the case, I can already say its a bad stupid scene.

A point about the use of language to make things seem what they are not. I agree that Rupert’s comment about the burn was both revealing and inappropriate, as was the behaviour he described on the part of KS, but, however surprising his candour, Rupert wasn’t pedophiling. That’s letting KS off the hook, because it makes out that she was just a kid, and it plays right into one of Ruth’s post-scandal diversionary decoys (innocent Kristen, predatory Rupert). She was/is a fully grown adult woman completely responsible for her own actions and all their consequences. There was absolutely nothing perverted about Rupert being interested in a 22yo female. Men are programmed by nature to find women of that sort of age attractive because that is close to peak female fertility. It is anything but perverted and, on the contrary, completely normal, for a man of any age to find a 22yo woman sexually attractive. Now it was all kinds of sleazy and morally wrong on BOTH their parts to let that attraction turn into a relationship, given their existing commitments but it was not perverted and he is not a pedo (on this evidence at least).

@ Willow: interesting reading your perspective. I agree with you up to an 80% I would say. You’re absolutely right pointing the emphasis on Rupert not being a pedophile. KS has been a legal adult since she turned 18 so that accusation is not accurate and nothing but a false track to generate empathy with her.
However, that same logic puts Robert into an adult man’s position as well. It doesn’t matter if he has no ego or if he’s playing along with this PR romance because of a sense of loyalty to a friend or to get himself media relevant.

If he’s helping her out as a friend, he should just be upfront about it. I don’t mind that he’s helping her, I definitely see her going down if he’s not by her side. But why not be friends with her and support her through this phase that she put herself in. He doesn’t have to abandon her. He can stay single or date others and still be supportive of her. He could have been cordial during promos. But what did he choose to do? He chose to PR around. The halloween thing, the try-too-hard PDA at some of the premieres, especially the initial two sightings, outside the bar and that obviously staged poolside pics. That shows he wanted to sell it too. If he could get away without being seen with her for two months, why did he start parading around with her after that? He may want the attention too, he may think Robsten fans are important to keep, or he may really love her which shows he is stupid. Because love at the cost of self respect is damaging. I can’t respect Rob as a person. As an actor, he has a long way to go yet. He was decent in Cosmopolis, but I think I can’t really call him great. I don’t see in him the talent I see in Joseph Gordon Levitt, or Ryan Gosling, Andrew Garfield, Daniel Radcliffe etc. I didn’t like how he was trashing the critics because they said he can act only after they saw Cosmopolis. What, did he want people to think he was great in twilight? A lot of Kristen rubbed off on him.
I enjoy Robert as an actor. I think he was wonderful in WFE.
I don’t know enough about him to assume what he thinks or feels or wants or how he has failed as a human being. I think he has been very clear about this PRomance being fake from the beginning. Because I don’t need him to give me satisfaction, because I do not have strong emotions invested in him, because I can see Hollywood as a manipulative machine, I carry minimal negative feeling towards him. The only criticism I have is how he took back Kristen following her affair. It seemed to minimize her crime. But then it was very clearly just to sell the franchise and I don’t know the terms of their contract.

I believe that he chose to play the bf because the commercial myth surrounding this franchise is that their fake Edward/Bella in real life romance is what sells Twilight.
I´ve always wondered what % of Twilight’s profit do those radical Krisbians and Robstens really represent. What if those fandoms were just 15% of their audience out of the total? Ok, sales are sales, but was all their PR denigration truly worthy? Thinking of Rob in those terms really changed my feelings towards him. I can’t see him as an innocent lovely fool anymore.

@Lisa, I don’t judge Rupert because I don’t know anything about their marriage. I only believe he could have prevented the part of the scandal if he had separated from his wife before finding a mistress. If he had filed for divorce, nobody could have accused him of cheating and he wouldn’t have publicly embarrassed his wife. Not saying there wouldn’t be a scandal because K was still cheating on R in many people’s eyes but at least Liberty wouldn’t have been involved.

I ordered Cosmopolis and just started to watch it. Not into it very far but so far it’s ok. Rob’s acting seems good (not great) the first sex scene was pretty graffic, I guess that’s a Cronenberg thing.
Yes! Cronenberg’s cinematography is always around sex, violence, modern phobias/psychosis and the contemporary take on timeless ideas.
There are so many brilliant dialogues in Cosmopolis! I personally found Samantha Morton’s speech about our society based on information to be beyond sublime.
I agree with you giving Rob’s acting a “good” qualification. Compared to his previous works, this was very good, but under Cronenberg’s standars it barely scratches a 6 out of 10. -5.87-
I’m really looking forward to Map of the Stars, that one is going to be really fucked up. I’ve read summary of the story and the book that was written based on the script. Very dark and disturbing! I look forward to seeing it and Rachel and Robert play those fucked up siblings.

Once again, it gets reiterated that they “never had sex”. It’s as though every commentary on the affair is turned back to assert Kristen’s innocence. This is brilliant PR. It drags her through the mud, then shines her up like a diamond.

I think those standing up for Rob, defending him, having pity for him, always throwing around the phrase “Poor Rob”, you guys are definitely in for a huge disappointment. I felt so bad for him the day the scandal broke out, I prayed for him, defended him on various sites and what I got back from him indirectly was a load of shit. The way he just kept shut and put on the sad face during Cosmopolis promos, and then within 1 week got back with her so conveniently, I felt like a big fool for feeling bad for that guy. I can see the games that he’s playing. If he grows to be a successful actor in the future, I see him dumping Kristen. His career is very indefinite now, he may hit it off or flop. Till then he needs to stay relevant and any sort of allegiance with Kristen is going to keep him relevant, because boy, she can get people talking about her.
A few posters here think its wrong to judge Rob, well to be fair we judge even Kristen, no one seems to mind that. I think this place allows us to judge both of them and its okay. I judge them both based on how they have been behaving publicly. Rob doesn’t need defending, he’s 27 almost, too old to be considered the innocent, needs-pampering kid. He knows what he’s doing

You won’t get too disappointed if you have normal expectations. I didn’t feel bad for him after the scandal because I didn’t know whether he was or wasn’t single during that time. Since he never publicly confirmed their relationship and he hardly showed any affection towards her in public, I had no reason to believe they were something more than good friends who maybe went a bit further while being inebriated.
He looked neither sad nor extra happy to me during his Cosmopolis promo, which made me believe their relationship was not serious. When he was spotted hanging out with her two months after the affair and during the BD2 promo, he seemed to act a bit cold towards her, like he didn’t like the mess she dragged him into but he wasn’t openly hostile. Perhaps because of their remaining friendship and his contractual obligations towards the company who hired him and paid him a really nice sum.
IMO, she’s the person who shared a very life changing experience with him. Even if he might be angry with her, I don’t think he has ill feeling towards her. Maybe he’s really irritated by the whole situation but I don’t see him throwing her under the bus to get out of the situation. I don’t think they are together and it’s very possible different life paths will separate them more in the future. He might stay single, sleep around, find a girlfriend or even a boyfriend. I don’t care as long as he keeps making interesting movies. I know he might mess up. I can see even from the photos his drinking could become a serious problem one day. I’m aware alcohol might not be his only vice and if that’s the case it will eventually collide with his life goals and there will be an unproductive, silent period. He or his career might or might not survive it.
As a fan, you can’t do anything about it other than making sure you won’t get emotionally invested with the guy’s personal life you know nothing about. Enjoy his work and let him entertain you. This way, you can be only disappointed with his acting or a script he picked, which is not a big deal.
Hey I totally relate to how you felt when he publicly lost his balls post-scandal and disregarded the people who cared to defend him. But it has made me see him through a different perspective. He really is just a very insecure and under-confident guy. All his self-deprecation now seems genuine to me. Without Edward, he was just a scrawny little guy with no appeal whatsoever. And at the time all his films were flopping left and right. Even as a fan some of the reviews used to embarrass me. So that couldn’t have possibly helped his low self esteem.
I am no fan of his personality anymore but I can see why people feel sorry for him. I doubt his actions would have elevated his respect level amongst his peers, irrespective of whether it was a PR obligation or not. And no guy in his position would trade that respect just for some money & fans. Till date I haven’t seen him take a stand for HIMSELF and to some extent that is what I feel he likes about Kristen, her threatening demeanor. So he tries to emulate that from time to time.
I hope he gets himself back on track because I feel he still has the potential to be a successful personality. Can’t say the same for Kristen though.
I think that those who do not harbor deep resentment towards Robert, but instead, see him as a human being in ridiculous circumstances, are likely the most emotionally grounded in the fandom. Those who hate him and those who love him are both on the sheepy spectrum, IMO. Sometimes I have to look twice when I post alongside folks who initially look normal, to insure they aren’t sheep, because the behavior is the same.
I simply haven’t seen what many of his critics claim to see. I don’t assume his thoughts. I don’t project negative associations onto him because he let me down. I read the articles. I listen to what he says. I watch his facial expressions. That’s it. I do the same with Kristen and I can tell you that she gives me multiple reasons to think she’s miserable and unpleasant. Oh, and an adulteress.
Respect those who see things differently..and then you won’t need to assume anything about them either and you can ‘stop looking twice’.. Save that for your strolls thru your community..in your real life..

I have no problem respecting people who see things differently. The only time I struggle is when fairly innocuous statements that I make are twisted and I become a “stan”. Oh, and when the vitriol becomes thicker than country music. That puts my teeth on edge to see so much mean spirited resentment towards anyone who hasn’t actually done something to their critic. I don’t own this site, so I don’t actually have the right to say this. Moreover I am new here, makes me all the more not have the right to say this. But I guess @333 and @French Flies seem to be good fans of Rob’s. Which is completely fine. But I guess you guys should go to Rob fan sites and this is very clearly not one. Its a place where people call him out on his shit and sense that he is playing the age old Hollywood game. I really don’t mean to ask you to leave, I’m just saying you will likely be able to be a fan of his at peace in those sites. I am sure most posters here are not fans of his.
Btw, Robsessed right now is full of Kristen fans and Robstens. If anyone says anything mildly negative about Kristen. they are bashed left and right. First time posting! Been lurking here since about October after the ‘big do’. What can I say? I absolutely loathe KS….I have NEVER liked the little piece of rubbish….just never warmed to the girl and every time there was a slight chance that I could give her the benefit of the doubt she would do or say something that would put me back to square one . Hence..me and KS are never destined to be friends.
Now…onto Rob….I made a very rash declaration on the Robsessed Blog (when I used to comment there occasionally) just after those rather cosy/intimate photos of him and her were published at that concert, in 2009 during the filming of New Moon.It was obvious something was going on between them…and I said that I wouldn’t let my dislike of HER affect my admiration/liking for HIM. Well I was wrong. She HAS affected the way I feel about Rob, especially in light of recent events. The fact that he’s willing to take her back after she so publicly humiliated him does not lie easy with me. Rob presents himself to me as a kind, easy going, laid-back sort of chap…which is fine….but I don’t find men who are controlled/manipulated by their partner to be attractive at all and THAT is the image which I am getting from Rob at the moment. I was overjoyed when the news broke of her infidelity. Time and chance for Rob to make a clean break…and he looked absolutely stunning through his Cosmopolis promo…back to the days of first Twatlight. He just COULD NOT sustain it…..and THAT is so disappointing. BUT……I am not going to give up on him yet. Yes I read through the comments here and I feel really sad that most of you were …at one time…fans of Rob.You are obviously made of stronger stuff than me. As I said…there is still a vestige of hope that he will turn out OK…but in the meantime…..I read your comments…they hurt…but I fully understand.
Sorry, not to be disagreeable but Rob took her back “per his contract”. He had to do this to finish up things, so he can get paid. Whether he wanted to or not. It’s a game they all have to play. Should he refuse and “be a man”? Probably not when there are millions at stake. Anyone in the same position would do it. He signed up for this, he’s no different than the rest of them. He may be a nice guy and all but he’s in the HW game. So do I have respect for him? I don’t have any respect for any of HW….they’re all of the same cloth. JMO. 🙂

@Gemma: Probably. Even when they’re not “working”, they’re still bound by a contract that probably expires after the DVD release. If he still hangs with her, then that tells me they are only friends and he just went along with all the charade and it didn’t really matter if she “cheated” or not.
I understand. I don’t like Kristen and have never cared for her pre twilight. I don’t mind Robert. Yes I am aware he’s playing the Hollywood game and contributing to the circus but it doesn’t personally affect me so I just focus on movies and his stupid/funny stories jokes he says in interviews. I don’t know him and can’t tell him how to make his decisions on his career or image so I don’t let it bother me. It’s out of my hands, thats for him, his family, his friends and his team to handle.
Unless he commits a heinous crime like murder or pulls a Chris brown or something equally awful, my view of him is what it is. His personal life (who he dates or his friends with) is his personal life in my eyes.
I don’t want to tell others how they should feel. I just share how I feel. I can force myself to hate someone I don’t personally know. I get that people hate him, are angry or disappointed in him, that’s their opinion and their right I guess.

Out of all the films he has lined up, I’m really looking forward to Map of the Stars so I hope that one ends up happening. I love Rachel Weisz and seeing Rob and Rachel play those disgusting crazy brother and sister has me excited. It won’t be for the faint hearted but the plot has me intrigued especially since we discuss how fucked up Hollywood is.
With all the talk about Libertys divorce I have been wondering about that SWATH premier. So there are generally two trains of thought at the time of that premier and hindsight is such a wonderful thing.
1 Kristen was sleeping with Rupert and Bob. She was cheating. At that premier after party then we have all the players, Bob, Rupert, KS, Liberty, oh and Rob’s sister. Forward a few weeks and we have reconciliation and forgiveness, tea and towels in time to sell a movie. Classy
2 Kristen was sleeping with Rupert but not Bob. Bob new about the affair. At that premier after party then we have all the players, Bob, Rupert, KS, Liberty, oh and Rob’s sister. Most new about the affair. But Bob still went, with his sister to support his cheating friend.
Classy.
So opinions please on what decent people these players are?
I think that Kristen’s admissions in the interviews around that time seal the deal for me that she was with Rupert. She had NEVER gushed about Robert that way. The reporter very clearly described mutual lust when she included what Kristen and Rupert had said about one another. And then there was the time that Kristen was agitated, drinking, smoking, and talking about missing her boyfriend. She had just returned from a SWATH promo tour in Australia with Rupert and Thor. Was that the same interview? I don’t keep track. But I could see her playing the fans by knowingly talking about Rupert while they think it is Robert. She has said that she plays with the fans so this isn’t a projection.
I am not sure Robert knew about the affair. I don’t see any evidence of it. He looked extremely relieved in the weeks that they were “broken up” IMO. There was a mention that they were both called in for a powwow with studio honchos to discuss the promotion before the movie released. It seems logical that they were either reminded about the terms of their contracts, or a new contract was drawn up that rewards them/him for playing the role a bit longer.
For him to walk away from her could have upset profits and possibly break the contract. For him to take her back would alienate a portion of the fanbase and publicly cast shadow on his character. If it got out that it was a PRomance from the beginning, he would be dead meat with the fans and possibly professionally. I can’t imagine what it would take to make any of those things the best option to take.
There was this girl on twitter who was “friends” with Taystew and his friends through Facebook. She made up a fake account and was sharing info on the Stewart family with Sheep and would steal photos from their Facebooks and share them. She was the one who said Kristen was cheating a week ago before those US weekly photos came out, Sheep didn’t believe her. Taystew had told her the women in his family are all cheaters and that’s why he had moved out of the Los Feliz house. He and Kristen weren’t talking and He moved out early July so I think rupsten was probably happening since the SWATH tour or maybe even eariler, who knows.
I think him “taking her back” in order to sell a movie has absolutely cast doubts on his character. He got caught in a big fat lie, with the help of KS, in order to line his pocket.
Either option plays like a game of musical chairs.!

Everyone who says they are not invested in this circus is in denial because if you weren’t invested on some level you wouldn’t be on this blog, following Robs personal life or getting mildy offended when someone says they dont like Rob. I’m sorry but that bugs me, because yes we are all invested in this somewhat and if you are so beyond the reach of being invested or judging others then you would have no reason to dislike Kristen or even know about her life. Anyone who follows celebs and knows their personal life is invested so let’s all be real here. Not trying to be rude but no one here should be on their high pedestals casting “your a hater or judgemental” rocks here because your hands are just as dirty.
When it comes to celebs no one is innocent, they are all overpaid and when you put your business out there damn straight I will be there to give my opinion because its my form of entertainment and that’s what they want us to do anyway. Get us talking about them to raise their stock.
If you are referring to my posts, obviously there are different levels of investment. Someone who reads articles and discussed things online is a hella less invested than someone who gets a Twilight tattoo, camps out for tickets, or gets truly emotional enough to love or loathe an entertainer to the degree that they troll, attack, or try to undermine someone who doesn’t. I am all for disagreement. I’m a pretty contrary person, but relentless vitriol makes the environment uncomfortable for those who witness it, and it surely can’t be a pleasurable experience for the one spewing it.

I was more about I shall not throw stones but yes I threw in a couple of others as well because it was not only you I was addressing but everyone. While I understand and agree some to what you are saying I have issue with the fact that people say they are not invested when to some extent and whatever degree they are. You visit here frequently and make comments so you are invested just as I am. Again I am not singling you out or anything but it reminds me that classic line many sheep like to say “mind your own business regarding robsten” yet they are clicking away on photos invading their privacy and more. We all all invested and that’s my point and no one should say they are not. At some point we have all got fired up so that says we do have some emotions in this and I don’t think anyone should be casting stones while living in a glass house.
As for making an environment uncomfortable well…I’m not sure what to say about that one. I think they only people who should be uncomfortable are Rob and Kristen as they are the ones being discussed. But that’s just me…we can agree to disagree but I have yet to see anyone spew hate for Rob. Disappointment, annoyance, question his character and acting ability yes..I have but hate, I have not. Again, agree to disagree, respectfully.
*all in my opinion of course, if i come on a website to discuss two celebs I will never meet instead of doing other more productive things in my life then yes im invested and since i have seen this circus from the start its like a trainwreck I can’t stop watching and when these two break up is probably when I will stop, seeing this circus burn down until the end.
And just for kicks to get some opinions I will play Devils Advocate here and just ask why is it people feel bad for Rob being dragged into this circus? What about Kristen? She was dragged into this too and honestly it seems Rob drinks to cope with this circus that I do believe was (maybe still is) an open relationship. Meanwhile Kristen forced basically like Rob to be in this relationship chose to act like a bitch to cope.
I’m just wondering how many would also be agitated having to be in a PR relationship with a guy you may not particularly like…rob is goofy and maybe kristen wanted someone more mature. It could’ve been Robs side pushing for this after all when they signed on Rob had a crush on Kristen and was the less known star he could’ve forced this onto her and maybe that’s why she’s such a miserable c**t.

I see your point regarding Kristin, I, for one, am not a fan of hers and I absolutely do not like her behavior. She has a mind of her own and chooses to flip people off and act like she does not care about HW and she seems to be ungrateful. Many people would like to to have 1/2 the chance that she was granted but she threw it all away.
Playing devil’s advocate, I can see that maybe after Twilght, Scummit saw what a franchise like this could develope into and had Kristin & Rob sign away their lives. Those two being so young probably thought nothing of it when they signed. I know at that age I would have said “hell yeah! where’s the pen?”. After a while, that might be the reason her ex-boyfriend dumped her (probably pissed off too) and Rob came into the picture. Sure they probably were friend’s with benefits, what choice do they have? It’s not like they can date someone else in the open so why not bare with it and just ride this whole thing out?
Well, after a while (couple or few years down the road) they got sick of to each other and felt trapped. Enter San Diego and and all the snarky commentsmade to each other during BD1 Comic con. Of course they had to still play it off but it wasn’t so convincing after a while and more and more ppl took notice. Then sh*t hit the fan in July with Rupert. I do believe they had a full on affair and may have kept in touch. I also think that Rob was pissed, only ’cause his name was dragged thru this. Believe me, it must have been humilating.
This is just my opinion, there’s more but I hate typing, lol!
I agree with you and I say this a lot even when I was a crazy krisbian and part of the herd that Kristen shouldve been more nicer and she wouldn’t have had so much further down to fall.

I completely believe that Kristen was dragged into this kicking and screaming. She was very adamant that she didn’t find him attractive. She said that she wasn’t going to break up with her boyfriend just to appease fans. She seemed very much in love with Michael. But something happened and when they broke up, the expectation was that she would date Robert. That she broke up with Michael for Robert. I can imagine how much burning resentment she had for the fandom, for Twilight, for Robert, when her popularity became linked to his.
I was very sympathetic towards her for a long time. My God, the way Ron fans reacted when I said that she must be overwhelmed, and that it was obvious her family wasn’t close, and that she needed a little grace. I felt the worst for her after the MA split. I was called a “stan” and a Krisbian, and whathaveyou because I encouraged a little restraint.
The situation they found themselves in must have been insane. The screaming girls, the older women, the gossip, the threats, the obsessions, the stalking, the bizarre fascination with what is a very unhealthy love story and how they were equated with the characters…no amount of money made that attractive to me. In fact, at the time Twilight hit the theaters, I had more money than I knew what to do with and it didn’t bring me any happiness. So I never believed that the salary offsets the price to their personal lives.
But she became very unsympathetic when she started whining and showed herself to be ungracious. She somehow confused independent, edgy, and intellectual with anti-social and I can’t hack that. Then I began to see her as very contrived. Now to me she just seems lost but I can’t get back the sympathy after she romanced a married man. Being a mother and a wife, I have a different perspective from some.
You hit it on the head and as stated above I think Kristen got a little too cocky and her inner brat came out. I lost respect for her (not that she cares anyway, until her wallet takes a hit) but I’m not sure if she is past redemption. I still find a small part of me trying to root for Lindsey Lohan although she is a jackass. Curious since you have identified yourself as a mom and wife, a follow up question…What do you say to those who claim Kristen is not a homewrecker since that marriage was broken enough since Rupert strayed anyway? I have to agree that you can’t take a man from a happy home. You simply cannot. However, as women, the way that we harm one another, and children, by engaging in or tolerating infidelity is unacceptable. It boggles the mind. But I don’t understand why, in general, we aren’t kinder to one another. I guess it is a profound selfishness and complete disengagement from any sense of responsibility for the person standing next to us. Shailene, I’ll give both of them a chance to be honest, every human being deserves a second chance. They both know what they have to do to be good persons. And they both can recover from their respective disorders and live less socio-phobic lives.
Would I go to see their movies in a future? In the case of Rob, yes certainly! In her case only if she upgrades her acting to an outstanding level. It’s hard for me to invest money on her after what she did to another woman’s marriage and family.
I hear ya! People do deserve second chance but only when they work hard for it and if Kristen could turn over a new leaf maybe they will be hope for her but she has a longggg way to go. I am no fan of Rob but I even found myself rooting for him during the Cosmos promotion. He used to be so hot in my eyes I wish he could get back to that…he seems to make better choices when it comes to picking films.

Well it’s official. If this relationship happens (IF, I said), Jennifer seems like a much cooler girlfriend than Kristen. Robert would be lucky to win her — and we hope he’d be a sweet and loyal boyfriend to her. I think Jennifer might miss what’s left of her privacy if she starts showing up everywhere with Mr. Tabloid Candy, though.

Ohhh no! RPattz is a big child with no self esteem and Jennifer is already a woman, she better focuses on her job and the right man will appear at the right time. BTW I loved Jennifer with Nicholas, they were a cute and nice couple.. and really private unlike Kslut and RPttaz who always boasted of being private persons when actually they’re getting to Kardashians level of famewhoring.
I hate the posters on GC but this was the only poster that made sense at all:

Every conclusion we draw about these two is based on a chain of assumptions any of which may be unwarranted. For example, did he really take her back? Even if they were an item in first place, which is not certain by any means, where is the evidence that they are now any more than just friends? They have hardly been together in the last two months, despite the fact that he was due to be away for at least the next two. That .doesn’t sound like any real couple I know. If they are trying to pretend to be a real couple (or even make the idea plausible enough to keep their fans guessing about it), why are they making such a piss-poor job? If Summit are contractually twisting their actors’ arms to put on a loving show, they are certainly not getting their money’s worth. I suspect only the most hardened shippers still have no doubt that R & K are together, given their recent behaviour. It’s not so much a guessing game any more as wilful suspension of disbelief to swallow the Robsten-is-unbroken myth and they themselves must surely get that! Also the shrinking portion of the fandom that still have any interest are getting bored of going round in circles, so the remaining PR mileage in this, particularly for Rob, is very limited. He may have agreed not to scupper the show while she tries to rebuild her rep, but it’s entirely passive i.e. he is not playing any active role at all as far as I can see.
He played a pretty active role of Pool Boy. He was very “Johnny on the Spot” with the tea, also. Just sayin.

and don’t forget his defense of some of her lovely comments about rape and the queen’s face.. he actively spoke on one and sat there without a peep on the other.. we could list examples all day long.. at least examples that i find persuasive that he is an active participant in this game.. including all the ducking, weaving, car rides, t-shirt exchanges, etc.

Whatever, there’s nothing in the past few months, including the over-hyped poolside photo-op, that would lead a reasonable, objective person to conclude that R&K have been any more than friends since at least last July. He gave her a drink and a towel as she climbed up from her pool is all. I’d happily do that for any friend and I’d expect the same courtesy in return. BFD. But put yourself in the shoes of the publicist arranging that session to convey the message that “Robsten is unbroken”. Would you be happy with tea and a towel between friends or would you want some kind of unambiguous makeout session, however short, to advertise “undying love resurgent” for the upcoming BD2 promo? And any faux couple worth their salt and their contract would oblige. Of course they would, even if it was all just for the cameras. So why didn’t these two? The puzzle here isn’t that Summit or whoever might have wanted to organise a photo-op like this, it’s rather that the PR signal from it was so woefully weak!
Yes, there’s enough for a very desperate PR merchant to spin a Robsten yarn that can’t be conclusively disproved, and leaving that door open a tiny crack may well be designed to help Kristen with her more shaky fans but, really, no true couple behaves like these two have over the past few months and no even mildly objective observer is going to believe that they are romantically involved on the recent available evidence. If this is PR, it seems to be targetted at only the most highly suggestible elements of her fanbase and looked at as a whole the spin is at best curiously minimalist, at worst utterly inept. Oh,, and for him at least, damaging, which is the very last thing you want PR to be!
I agree, Willow. Only the most desperate and easily led people are still seeing love between the two. My husband said something interesting. He brought up the media examples that girls in our culture have for what love looks like. If you watch TV you will see love shown as being rife with disrespect, sex, conflict, and treated as though it is a temporary event and not something to be protected and grown. So when people look at Rob and Kristen and they aren’t showing comfort with one another, or respect, or protectiveness, it looks like love to them. A man who won’t open a car door for a woman, or help her down a step, or walk alongside her when papz are closing in, hey, that’s okay because I bet they have great sex. (shudder)
Robsten says more about the fans than it does the actors. That it got this far without believable declarations of love and acts of physical intimacy, and largely took place in the imaginations of millions is truly disturbing. People can be led to believe anything if they are halfway there.

@Willow on the other board you had mentioned lack of active participation in this PR campaign…there was the poolside which sheep trouted as declaration of their love as well as dog talk where they both said they have two dogs if I’m not mistaken. So while very subtle its there and then of course spending time before the holidays so there has been something to suggest these two are playing the game although I think Rob and Kristen at this time are happy they are enjoying some time apart I don’t think these two are in a committed relationship but an open one although sometimes it looks like they barely tolerate each other anymore…not a good year to be a robsten that’s for sure…
