I don’t think Cannes was sending a message. I think they would’ve loved a replay of 2012 and all the headlines that brought. I think Rob and Kristen’s team are the ones trying to send a message. Stars may not be able to dictate exactly when their films premiere, but schedulers DO want to work with the castmembers so as many can attend as possible. Looks to me like Rob and Kristen’s teams probably put in a few requests to be scheduled this far apart. I would guess The Rover’s premiere will be the weekend before MTTS’ premiere since they won’t want to force Rob to stay there for 5+ days.

It’s sad. I didn’t get excited for a single second when I saw these pics. I knew she’d end up being connected to some friend. I knew there’d be another person who just didn’t show up in the first pics. And now, of course, I’m hearing that she’s gay (not sure if that is true though). I don’t even get my hopes up anymore. I don’t know what his deal is, if he’s gay, bi, asexual, or what. But he’s determined to never be seen with any woman in a way that could be seen as romantic. And so he will never get rid of the shippers who think he’s actually Edward and will never, ever move on.

Solution. Just be yourself Roberto. Don’t hide in the car, don’t pretend, don’t lie and be honest…. unless you have lots of skeletons in the closet, then, keep being what you are.
See, sometimes I think he actually DOES care what we think. I feel like he deliberately only goes out with women who have boyfriends, or are gay, or old/unattractive, because part of him is STILL catering to the shippers who will never stop hoping for a reunion.
From the start, this break-up was so half-assed. From the “for now” that was attached to all the announcements, to never letting GC confirm it, to neither of them dating anyone else publicly a whole year later. It’s depressing and annoying. I know there’s nothing wrong with Rob taking time to himself and staying single, but irrationally, I wish he’d just ask out some model and be papped holding hands with her so everyone could finally move on.
@ jackie: I see it kind of the same but we know that not eaven beeing seen holding a womans hand will stop them. They will just stop it if he is seen with her multiple times and kissing her at least once. I think he wants to make a point but he won’t get it across unless he is doing it in a very obvisious – no way to deny it – way. And that would mean making out with someone in front of a camera. I agree. The only reason I do think he and Kristen dated for real is because I follow this fandom enough to know way too much about his dogs, houses, holiday plans, whose friends follow whose on IG.
