I would even wager that the clothes sharing was created to give the impression that they were together because the fans did all the work of filling in the story. Any time I wore a man’s shirt, I had taken him out of it. I think that’s the impression they were counting on, and it worked.
That said, this crowd of people reveals just how much work was put into presenting her as a fashionista and how it is all an illusion. It takes a team to clean her up, but she always has to rebel with her crappy jewelry, bad hair, toenails or stinky shoes, just so that she keeps it “real”. I am sure that went over really well with Robert who always looked impeccable from beginning to end of the public events where he was most assuredly working. He made a calculated decision and losing opportunities is a given during a scandal. I think he bit the bullet and saw it through and six months after the end, he packed dogs and the waffle iron and moved on. For every opportunity he may have lost, he is likely known as a team player and someone who is faithful to his own detriment. It isn’t the trust of the public that he needs to cultivate, but of the Hollywood machine that will greenlight his projects, give him freedom and chances, and include him in their plans. Fans come and go. New ones will be born today who will discover him when he is 45. In the long term, the scandals will fade and he will have more leverage than now. THAT is why he did Dior. THAT is why he is having the parties. He is recreating his image and sticking with it. Long term plan.
My fandom lasts maybe two years, then there is a new flavor in town. I am so busy that they only get my most spare moments. Why should they take into account my opinion when it is destined to fade by its very nature?

His face is out there (same with dior on that one) and he won’t make people loose to much money if one movie bombs.
He wasn’t into the game long enough when he signed that contract and it nearly broke his neck. The fact that he is pretty lovely with his dorkyness is helping him now too. And if you look at all these pappics etc – he didn’t played the fans that much. He went along as much as needed and as less as possible. Kristen went full force on the shit all the time and I can’t eaven blame her for it. She thought she needed it and that it would help her… Rob could have really helped her out after some time if they had been friends and she would have let him go, but she didn’t let go and now he turned his back on her. That is what I think was her biggest mistake actually. She should have thought about that friendsship first and then about her career. We have a saying in germany –

I don’t hold either one of them responsible for the mental stability of the extreme Robstens. These ppl had issues long before Edward & Bella came into their lives. Anyone who felt personally invested in the relationship, fake or not, of two strangers and heart shattering hurt by the “break-up”, is just messed up. It’s one thing to feel disappointed in their behaviour, but anything beyond that, is not normal.

It’s really hard to tell. It might not look this way but she used to have a very solid fanbase during her Hannah Montana days. I think her first album released in 2007 is 4x platinum in US, her second album sold around 2,5 million copies. It’s quite an impressive number for a former Disney starlet like her, considering the fact record sales were already very low in the late 00’s. Her latest album wasn’t very successful and the US album sales have hit new historic lows over the last weeks but I think it’s possible her album will become at least platinum. If nothing else, she will have a very successful single. Right now her single is outselling the artists like Katy Perry, Eminem, Lady Gaga and Drake. This is huge for her. Though we will see how much of it is a hype. Regardless her slutty behavior, I think the single alone is decent but it has a very low airplay. She needs airplay and higher audience impressions if she wants to have a longevity. At least on CHR/POP stations. If she has a decent airplay and a high chart position on iTunes, she’ll chart high on BB Hot 100. The mainstream crowd might jump on the band wagon and buy her record just because she’s hot right now. I know she is a gimmick using the cheap, old tricks but they work. They work for Ke$ha, Rihanna, Gaga and many more. If the gimmicks work, it’ll be largely because of the hype but her record label could care less why she sells, as long as she sells. .

@Bren, if I bought multiple tickets to his movies, it would mean I pity him and think he’s a loser who needs my alms. Since I don’t think he’s a loser and I’m sure he doesn’t want or need my alms, I’d rather proudly sit alone in a theater than embarrass him and myself by buying multiple tickets either for nobody or for the people who wouldn’t even appreciate his movies. 333 – there is nothing wrong with anyone who choses a non-adversarial attitude. Some ppl feel uncomfortable with confrontation and some ppl simply can’t be bothered to get angry over shit that has no direct affect on their lives. It’s not your style, as you state, but it is the style of others.
It’s one thing to have differing opinions about R&K. It’s another thing when we start being assholes to each other. And yes, you have been on the receiving end of many biting words of posters here, and that is not right either. but you also have thicker skin than most here. Know your audience, not everyone is like you.

IMO, something similar is going on here. 90% of blog can mock Rob for the same things all over again, even though he’s been hidden for weeks doing his thing, and nobody calls them haters or obsessed. Rob and Kristen are actors, not even good ones at that. And they gave a half assed performance for years to sell people the goods. And the people weren’t even completely lied to. They never said that they were in love until Kristen endangered the franchise and needed to save it for the last film. The people wanted so much to see this that they compared their accessories, stalked their friends’ online accounts, went on road trips to catch their trail of breadcrumbs, etc. The fans were the ones who made it this intense. They threw their delusions on a very sketchy picture to make what they wanted. The actors do not bear all of the burden when they started out denying it and the fans refused to accept it. Don’t you remember the conversations about how this interview was months old and since we saw them having dinner with 27 other people since then, they must be dating?
They saw what they wanted to see. They spent their money and time on an illusion. It was all entertainment.
I am not disgusted with the actors. I bet they are thrilled to finally be free of it. I am disgusted by the sheep who were so cruel to anyone who disagreed with them. I am disgusted with the people who do not know boundaries. Rob and Kristen? Meh.

I do agree that she seems a bit creepy talking about this. But, I have to confess that the 1st Twilight is the one that I really liked. The lighting (blue-ish color to the lighting), low budget feel, the soundtrack, it all just felt special. It’s the others that just seemed to be over-rated, a sell out. There was just something magical about the 1st film.
I understand that this was something she was proud of but she needs to concentrate on the current film she’s promoting. She won’t be successful if she continues to talk about her past films while ignoring her new ones.

My sister had a problem with hairloss as a teenager because of neurodermitis. This looks a lot like that when it started. It mostly starts with a little spot on the so called crone and from there on it spreads if you don’t take the right actions.
There was a time back then she used to smoke some weed now and then – her hair looked the worst back then. When I made her realise that the weed might be a reason for her hairloss she quit it and her hair grew back. It looks pretty now.
My sister still is fighting it – making sure she eats very healthy and avoids stress but sometimes, when she has a lot of stress her eylashes fall of. So she will never get rid of the problem but I can tell you that drugs don’t help the issue at all. She fell back into the happit once and her hair fell out imediently. Thats what made her stop with it for life. Weed has a very bad effect on hair and skin. I’m not against weed as a medical thing – cancerpatients using it to be able to eat and as a painkiller… But in any other situations you should just keep your hands of drugs.

Could be! But she wore her extensions from Swath for quite some time after filming. And with extensions, you have to take good care of them. During filming, she had professionals look after them for her daily. But once left to her own devices, she destroyed them. They were all matted and dried out. Extensions need to be carefully brushed and treated with professional products daily. Not left unbrushed and unwashed for days, possibly weeks, in true Kristen form. When she finally had them removed, they probably had to rip them out forcefully because of their poor condition, hence the scalp damage. Another factor is black dye in you hair. She had for a long time after Runaways and with Swath. The prob with black dye is when u try to go lighter….a lighter dye doesn’t take on top of the starkness of the black. If done properly, the black has to be gradually stripped out of your hair with high levels of peroxide in order for lighter colours to take. Sometimes it needs to be stripped numerous times and gradually lightened before u get it all out. It’s brutal on the hair and scalp.
I don’t know about the hair extensions… I’ve been wearing clip-in hair extensions (real human hair & not the cheap stuff) for over 3 years and have had no problems with balding. I think it has to do with stress & not being healthy- eating right or drug use.
I’m the girl who is conscious about hair and skin so I do my best to keep it healthy. I do notice that if I’ve been sick recently that my hair does feel & look dull. After being sick and my diet is back to normal, my hair is back to normal. So yeah, I think it has to do with her stress level & diet intake.
RB – the diff between the clip ins and permanent extension, is that they’re either fused or sewn into the hair line. Which is really harsh on the scalp. And even harsher when you’re not taking care of them properly.
But stress could be a factor as well. She’s certainly had her fair share of it lately.
I can’t plead Screws case, as I don’t know wtf she does as far as dope ( I suspect a lot of weed and booze, at least). I just know that several actresses, most recently Jenifer Aniston, said something about long term wear destroying her real hair and leaving bald spots. Jen has worn them since the friends days.Of course, Jen takes care of herself in between films,js.

Dorothy, I don’t claim to be an expert on Spew, but I think she did/does a lot of blinking when she’s trying to show emotions in her movies. In Twi, if she was in pain, or confused, or angry or afraid, etc. she blinked quite a bit. That’s where I remember seeing the most of it.

I watched part of a documentary about Rick Springfield and the women who love him in his 60’s and see numerous shows every year. The husbands are generally supportive.I was quite shocked at the support they get. I think that maybe some husbands have a little obsession of their own that they indulge when wifey is away.
