I’m one who believes it’s always been PR. There are times when it looks like they barely tolerate each other and that goes back to the original Twilight BTS. I think business is business, for both of them, and until she got caught rubbing her ass all over Rupert, the story sold. The “reconciliation” was a joke and the most blatant PR crap to date. Again, business is business and the “reconciliation” was to sell the movie. That’s it. If they hadn’t reconciled and the movie bombed it would have looked bad for both of them. JMO. Right now I’d like to smack the smug little grin off of her face in the pics from her leaving Paris and arriving back in LAX. I’m of the opinion that she is an arrogant asshole that feels she’s above it all. Even after everything that has happened she still behaves this way. I will never support her or her career. I do not click links that relate to articles about her on gossip blogs and I barely post comments about her because I’m also of the opinion that’s what she likes and wants. I’m a little opinionated today (blushing).

I’m going out on a limb here girls……don’t beat me up…this is just MY opinion…I have never believed in the PR theory….sorry but I just don’t. I do not know Rob but I believe that he really was in love for a good couple of years with that waste of space. He was obsessed with her; couldn’t take his eyes off her when they made joint appearances; always conceded to her arguments and points of view; praised her in HIS interviews(she never or very rarely returned the compliment)and if it was a PR arrangement would we not have had solid rumours of them hooking up on the side with someone else? No…Sadly it would seem that he was much more enamoured with her than she was with him, but he was useful…and by God did she use him to her advantage. He was just too naive/stupid to see what she was up to until that last twelve months when I think he began to tear away the wool from his eyes. I DO think once the scandal broke that Rob was pressurised to take her back to save her face and the upcoming Twilight BD2 promo…let’s face it…there was a lot at stake there..but you only have to look at the pics/videos of that time to see that things were not all huncky dory and the subsequent papped pics in their downtime were very telling..they were done.She has proved over and over again this last year what a nasty, lying, conniving cheat she really is and she’s more than willing to throw her one time lover to the wolves…heck she’s even embroiled her dubious bunch of mis-fit friends to make nasty comments about him. I mostly agree with you, Lindy. I don’t think he was obsessed or enamored really though. I think he admired her as an actress and sort of saw what he wanted to see and maybe there was a bit of a challenge there since she was such a bitch and some guys like to be treated badly.
I do feel like once they were together, it became mostly about convenience. Like becoming best friends with someone at work because you spend 8 hours a day together and you always have situations to bitch to each other about that no one else really gets. I always figured they’d never last once Twilight was over and they realized they don’t really have much in common. Just like you lose touch with people when you get a new job.
I agree that the reunion DID seem like PR though. He looked miserable and at times seemed like he was deliberately baiting her or acting like a dick in interviews (saying all the fans hate him again like they did back at the beginning, saying “I take credit for YOUR career” when Kristen tried to do her usual BS about being responsible for making Rob and Taylor, joking about preferring to have sex on camera than in real life, answering “death” when asked what “forever” meant to him).
I think he figured it’d be easier to just pretend to reconcile since he knew between BD2 promo, TR filming, Dior stuff, he was hardly going to be in the same city as her for long anyway. Then he finishes TR, puts in a month of being a good “boyfriend” (with 5000 photo ops), leaves for NYC, and by then it was over.

Her fashion contracts, Vogue cover, tribe of worshippers who think she’s a “role model”…that all came because of the exposure being with him gave her. If she’d stayed with Oregano or dated Jackson…we’d be living in a very different world.

1- Roberto was obsessed with her, but her not so much that’s why it took her 1 year to dump Oregano.
2- They hooked up since Mar/Apr 2009, some says Feb/Japan was the click for her.
3- They never speak about the relay because Scummit was involved in the decision of low profile with benefits for both parts: 1- Robsten’s believers were happy because E/B became real and the detractors were happy too because of the no confirmation/PDA. The suspect is that in their previous relays they weren’t so private. 2- If they broke up no need of confirmation/denial (don’t forget 4 more movies were involved, that’s a lot of $$$ to risk with bad PR).
4- At one point during SWTH she betrayed Roberto, my belief is it was during promo, she said in interviews she was bored she need something to fucked her up, Rupig was that scape gate, we have to take in consideration that Roberto is his own word said he is structured and boring and her not so much.
5- The worst case scenario for Scummit happened and at the wrong moment (BD2 promo), the cheating scandal took Roberto by surprise and definitely Scummit was involved in the sooner reconciliation there was a lot of money involved for let 2 kids screw with a $2 billion dollar franchise.
6- After the TW bubble ended Roberto was face to face with reality and things naturally they fell apart.

Personally, I think it was PR but one-sided PR. I think Rob, who lets face it is not the brightest bulb in the box, liked her. He was the “it” person for that franchise. He was getting all the attention and FAME. Shank was not getting much press. I think she saw an opportunity to gain celebrity, money and likability by dating Rob. She would never be as famous as she is (or was) without Robsten, period. I think she is a calculating, manipulative, whore who probably took advantage of a situation.
I think most “fans” and Hollywood recognize she is not the person she was selling herself to be during Twilight. The only fans left are either delusional or just as vindictive as she is.

On the subject of whether it was PR or not, I think that maybe in the beginning Scummit wanted them to be in a PR relationship, but went and Rob really fell for her. There is no way that you can spend so much time with another person, working so intimately, and not develop feelings for that person, (especially if it’s not something you’re used to). However, Snow Ho grew up in and around HW, so she would be able to distance herself from the kind of work placed love affair and was able to just play along, and then was able to have a fling with Ruperv when it was in her best interest to sleep with someone who could supposedly help her career. Problem is, that fling backfired on her, with her career going down the pan. And I’m still of the opinion that Rob only appeared to get back together with her to promote the last Twi film and got out as soon as he was able to do, and still keep his career going in the right direction.
CampX got a distributor- IFC films. Independent Film Company, I think they own the Sundance Channel. It would have been quite embarrassing for Sundance to promote Shank and have her movie go unsold, pity buy.
…which means it will air on IFC network channel….which subsequently means it is nothing more than a made for Television movie. IFC also acquired On The Road….and we all know how that turned out LOL!!!!
I think they have Sils Maria too. I doubt a big name studio is ever going to touch a Shank film.

Meanwhile Roberto got a good review for TR from Hollywood.com but I think is too much compliment for just a teaser trailer where you can’t appreciate too much.

Rob doesn’t have a publicist. If he did, things would probably be very different for him. Just look at how Kristen’s flops get spun in the media vs. his. The trades are consistently harsher on him than Kristen. Same with magazines, etc. Compare her VF kiss ass job to both of his, which were more honest and didn’t sugarcoat him at all.

The “partial exile” was because of the cheating scandal they failed to mention. By her own admission, the time off was not her choice. Total PR piece of crap.
When Rob sold his house, all the media mentions said the break up was in 2012 too. I think they’re both trying to push that as the timeline now.

What I find interesting is the timing of the release of this interview. The Dior commercial was aired for the first time in the US during last night’s opening ceremonies of the Olympics….and this article starts out referencing Bear….who has not been seen for months……..the RK link…

I don’t think that has anything to do with the timing. The only thing interesting about the timing for me is that she has nothing to promote, so this is pure vanity and trying to stay relevant.
I don’t think she’s trying to revive RK tbh. If she was, I don’t think she’d have the interviewer at HER house, with HER friends, talking about how SHE bought the house. She’d have dropped more gems and and made sure the writer left the question open, like most of her other interviews always have.
I read somewhere the interview took place in December. I’m sure she thought CampX would be her comeback role, hence the interview. But the joke is on Shank, the movie flopped.
Gotta disagree with ya’ here jackie. There was no reason to mention the dogs by name other than to continue the guessing game. Rob is mentioned through out the article. The sheep are already stating that she never defined the status of their relationship as of right now. The statement about their 2012 breakup was not her quote so it was disregarded. They defend this by the fact the article did not mention Rob moving out a-la hefty bags in 2013.
Shippers will always find a way to spin things. But ask yourself this. Not ONE mention of Rupert or the scandal. It’s not even alluded to. Do you think the reporter had no interest? No way. They were told not to bring it up to Kristen or to mention it in the article. But they made sure to bring up the break-up twice. Kristen’s quote about love is not from someone who is in a relationship. It’s from someone who ended one. There was no mention of Rob when the dogs were brought up, even though Kristen obviously introduced them by name to the interviewer. She talked about buying the house by herself. This was 100% single Kristen. Shippers not seeing that has nothing to do with reality. I mean, they’ll still insist she’s pregnant even though she laughed off the idea of even having kids in the near future, let alone right now.
I don’t read her interviews anymore, but from the little bits you girls cited here I can see that her ego is even bigger than before the scandal. She thinks no one can touch her because after all she moves on to a bigger fashion house and is still getting roles. Trying to prove how “fearless” and “real” she is by saying she doesn’t regret any mistakes is not a good strategy for a notorious homewrecker. In fact, she’s just a coward, hiding behind her PR team’s back.

I have to say she has one of the most agressive PR teams in HW – Giving multiple interviews when there’s nothing to promote, forcing movie sites to edit their articles in her favour, paying critics to kiss her ass, daily pap pics. I don’t think their efforts will work though. Her “realness” and “Oscar worthy” acting is her worst nightmare.
What better way to become the “it” girl than to date the “it” guy. She is a famewhore who will screw anyone to get ahead.
Oh those were the good all days. It was all about Rob in 2008, no one really cared or noticed Kristen. I could be a Rob fan and Kstew was just his moody co-star then 2009, you couldn’t be “just” a Rob fan because Rob become Robsten. Where did she say she hasn’t fallen in love? I took it as that she was saying you can’t control who you love (Rupert/Alicia?) and that it’s a struggle to want to “own” them but also let them stay the person they were that you were first attracted to.
