I’ve had that happened but my words are not in print for millions to read. I used to say I’d never work in retail. I hated it and refused to work in retail because It was for people who were in high school and barely starting out. It was beneath my career goals. well I got a job in a clothing store cause I needed extra money for the holidays a few years ago and now I’m the assistant manager. And I never thought I’d ever do management much less in retail but things happen and people change their minds. Money, career move, researching the benefits, etc.

Wow – I never saw that interview before where he was asked about being the “face” for a designer. Can’t say I blame him for taking the job though – as others earlier stated – he’ll most likely need the money in the near future especially if none of his “anticipated” projects come through.
I think it’s a smart step even if all of his projects come through. I remember reading on these boards a lot that he should take supporting roles to improve his acting skills. He found the roles that are either non HW production or they are supporting. IMO, these roles can really improve his skills. They are challenging as he’ll have to live in places that are far cry from comfy LA with all the poverty, different climate, cultural environment and illnesses a foreigner can hardly avoid. IMO, such experience could help him to grow but he could hardly earn big money this way. Those filmmakers are happy if they find a company that will finance their project. They don’t have a budget of big HW studios. A contract with Dior is a good alternative to earn money.

Just read the comments about him on the fashionspot forum. http://forums.thefashionspot.com/search.php?searchid=25074543 It’s probably the biggest fashion forum on the net visited by various fashionistas, models, designers fashion photographers and bloggers. He’s been always very popular among these people. They generally love his both red carpet style and street style. IMO, the opinion of these people is more important to a fashion house than an opinion on random folks on gossip blogs. These people actually buy designer stuff even if it means they will have to eat crumbs the next month. Not some housewives with kids that love gossips. Rich people also like expensive brands but most of them have no time or interest in celebrity culture.
And I agree that he’s a teen flick star but it doesn’t change the fact he accomplished more in his age than the actors like Brad Pitt did when they were still 26 (who btw. had had zero acting credibility for years). Ok on the subject of hair – my hair used to be to my waist – got caught in a cardoor one time when I used to valet park AND of course the damn door locked! Needless to say I went to the stylist the next day to “get it fixed”.
Over the years it’s gotten shorter maybe shoulder blade length. As a matter of fact, when I met my current stylist 11 years ago I was thankful that I had gotten someone with long hair because the one’s with short hair always tried to cut mine off.
Gradually though I have gotten shorter. It is now the shortest it’s ever been. It’s shorter than the wig that Ashely wore for her Alice persona (which I thought looked cute on her – can’t believe she gets all of her normal hair in that skullcap).
I like it – it takes me about 2 minutes to dry and style in the morning and still looks feminine.

hi everyone, just wanted to stop in and give everyone an update. My area was hit pretty bad, we had like 12 feet of water outside my basement was underwater and pretty much everything is ruined our power went out and is still out right now. I was so scared it was pitch black out and there and it was like our house was in the middle of the ocean, we had water coming in like a waterfall and we couldn not leave our house because of how high the water was, we were trapped i thought we would end up drowning in our own house,
I’m currently staying at a relatives house until we at least get power back then we have to go and clean up the mess and try to rebuild. I just can’t wait till I’m back home, immgoing nuts over here and I’m also bored out of my mind so I’ll definitely be in and out chatting with all of you. hope your all safe! ❤

I saw some of the devestation from some areas of my coworkers and was shocked. One lives in NJ (Obama is supposed to be there tomorrow I believe) and it’s shocking to see boats in the middle of yards and golf courses.

OMG – has anyone watched that show What Not To Wear? There was this one woman from Dallas (and I’m from Texas so I have no qualms of calling her out). She was an older woman, around 60 she had BAD gaudy makeup and BBBBIIIIGGGGGG HAIR and wore some clothes that looked straight out of Grand Ole Opry – Lord have mercy!
They CUT her hair, changed her makeup and gave her some new clothes. It was the ONLY episode where I saw the person cry and want their clothes and looks back. This woman FREAKED OUT! She paid for extensions to get her hair back to it’s BIG look and started wearing even MORE sparkly outfits
